Our Baby Is Gone

Posted in Logan at 11:30 pm by lance

Logan left us today… His doctors suspected from yesterday that he had an infection and Logan hasn’t been feeling well for the last couple of days.  This afternoon, it became too much for his little body to handle – although he fought all the way to the end.

The doctors and nurses took him off the ventilator and allowed Kim and I to hold him.  He passed away in our arms with all of his family around him.  He definitely knew that he was very loved.

Kim and I are exhausted, so we’re going to keep this entry short.  We’ll post again at a later date.

We’d like to thank everyone for their continued support and love.

WE LOVE YOU LOGAN!!!  YOU WILL BE MISSED BABY!!!

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing one’s child is definitely the worst loss you can experience. I prayed for Logan every night but I think God needed another angel in heaven. He will always be in your hearts even if you have a dozen children. You both have shown such extraordinary strength throughout this difficult time in your young lives. Never lose your positive outlook, your hopes and your dreams. I know that you will receive many blessings in the years to come. You have my love and support always.

    Dear Kim and Lance,

I am absolutely heartbroken for your loss!!! The two of you have shown incredible strength throughout this “lesson” that Logan has taught not only you, but all of us who have followed his story. If it were legal, I’d give you one of my children because I can’t think of two people more deserving to be parents. You have shown that time and time again with all of our children. You are absolutely right when you tell us he taught all of us something!!! That was what he was put here to do. He will always remain in the hearts of his mommy and daddy, and all his “Aunties and Uncles” and cousins too.=) We love you and think and talk of you often, and wish that we had the chance to meet him.
We will always be here for you!!!
    We love you both!

    Kimi and Lance,
I wanted you to know that our love and our thoughts are with you, even from all the way over here. I am so sorry that you had to endure such a great loss. I even can’t find the words to tell you how sorry we are. You two are the strongest, most loving people. Hang on to that strength and love through your time of healing. We are all here if you need extra support. Logan will always be in our hearts. Take care of yourselves. We love you.

Love, Stefani, Christian, Jazz, and Max

I truly believe that even though Logan was with us for such a short period of time he has taught all of us many lessons about courage, strength, bravery and what it really takes to be a hero. The definition of “hero” is a person who performs extraordinary deeds for the benefit of others. If that doesn’t describe Logan, I don’t know what does! He fought valiantly to stay with us knowing how much the both of you and the rest of the family wanted him to. He taught us the importance of hope, family, friends, and most importantly love. He may physically be gone, but his spirit will always be in our hearts. He will be forever loved. May you find comfort and peace during this time of sadness. We are here for you.

I would also like to take this time to ask all of you who are able to be a blood and/or platelet donor in memory of Logan to help other families who may also be going through what Kim, Lance and Logan have gone through.

Our heart aches for you and Little Logan. You two have been so incredibly strong as you have supported Logan as he showed courage and spunk. What a blessing for you to have known him, even if it was for such a short time. It’s amazing to see what an impact his little life has had on others…especially mommy and daddy. He has been and will always be well loved and in our hearts. We’re sorry not to have met him in person, but will one day in Heaven.
God’s blessings on you, sweet Logan. We love you Lance and Kim…

Kim and Lance, we weep with you in your loss. Logan was certainly here for a purpose. He showed us strength and courage. He was a warrior. He knew how much he was loved and I applaud the courage and positive attitude you both showed during these stressful times.

You are in our hearts and prayers and we love you very much. You are lucky to have each other and a big, loving ohana to help you through the tough times. We will always be here for you.

Take care and cherish the moments you had with Logan and never give up on Faith, Hope and your Dreams.

    Kim and Lance,

We were so sorry to hear about Logan. Although he was here for just a short time, he was an example of strength and courage for everyone. Each day was a new challenge and a new victory, cheered on by his loving family. His warrior spirit and unbelievable bravery was so much larger than his small size. The love and warmth that you gave to him each moment surely helped him with the struggle. You are both so amazing – patient, caring, hopeful and strong. There aren’t any words that can be said to make every pain go away, but know that we are thinking of you and sending you our love and prayers.

If you ever need anyone to talk to, please know that we are here.

    We love you both,
Jim, Lani, Mason, Pierson and Kennedy
